Asus disclosed the secret this Tuesday. Unlike in Taiwan where they sell three different models ,they want to offer only one Model of the new EEEC Laptop in Germany. 299 Euros for the 4 Gig version... but the same one is sold in the states for 299 Dollars......expensive Germany.
I think i´ll wait till spring...cause there is planed to launch the newer version.

Are you sure that all the features of the laptop are the same as the one in germany? if RAM is 2 that may be a reason is cheaper.
I like the Asus very and the new state of the art Eeec is an outstanding launch by the extra-ordinay barnd of the computer world.
I have the Aspire One and I am happy with it. It has has 8 GB flash memory and runs Linux.
