This evening in Germany at 8 P.M. CET we will turn off the light for 5 minutes.
Hope this will be a great sign for the wold clime conference in Bali.

I would love to visit the conference and to communicate with people about that issue since I do not know much about it.
I do not know much about the global warming but I am happy that there are people that are concerned and want to make our planet secure.
I thought that the global warming is not an issue at all but now when I see real changes in the climate of different seasons, I start to be very anxious. I hope our governmental bodies are aware of them and take concrete measures to prevent this cataclysm.
Yes,I agree with you that it is responsibility of every one to aware about global warming.
Global warming is really a problem we got to deal with as most animals that are used to cold weather start drifting to another places and thus some changes in nature can be observed. I would say that the issue of global warming is closely correlated with animals and to save them we got to do something.

I wish I knew too, my brain just wont be quiet even when I'm asleep, but when I get edgy or nervous, I think of something calming, like a bubbling brook or the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, birds sounds in the rainforest

It is a good idea and good thinking also but i don't think it will be enough to stop global warming. We are making so many act which causes global warming, so we must control them not only switch of the lights.

Yes, symbols are good.
Sometimes, though, symbols can be misleading.
For example, Al Gore is sort of a climate icon. He spends his time preaching to us regarding climate.
And, yet, I have seen his personal home heating and cooling bills. Over $30,000 for his Tennessee residence per year alone.
Hard to listen to him after seeing those bills. I am certainly not going to tell my grandma to wear a sweater in winter as old Al would suggest.
Same with eco-actor John Travolta. He preaches that we all need to cut back on our carbon footprint, and then goes out and buys five huge jets that he flies everywhere for a cup of coffee.
I think we are being conned.
If Al and John REALLY felt the planet was in danger, surely their personal behavior would be different.
As it is, all we have are icons and symbols, but when it comes to personally inconveniencing themselves, our so called climate leaders like Travolta, Gore, Prince Charles, and Leonardo DeCaprio are among the planets biggest enemies.
I will do as they do. But, I will have to buy a lot more and consume a lot more to get there.
